Goldmine PE 9.0.1 Update Available

Frontrange yesterday released update version 9.0.1 for their flagship Goldmine Premium Edition CRM software. Update 9.0.1 addresses a number of known issues and has been designed to increase the reliability of the product rather than add new functionality.

Specifically Frontrange have also reported that RM issue #119945 which saw Goldmine generating C++ errors and crashing randomly when working with emails. Similarly RM issue #1122340 which saw email text override preferences to permanently set the font face as Times New Roman is also reported as having been fixed by Frontrange.

Many Salespeople Think That CRM Helps Make Them Successful

Anyone who is involved in the selling of products or services knows that it is not always easy to make ends meet. Many of these people work on commission, and they struggle to put food on the table when times are tough, only to make a lot of money the following month. It can be a roller coaster ride. One way to help these salespeople be more successful, though, is through the use of CRM. CRM short for customer relationship management is a software program that helps to ensure that salespeople can keep track of everything that they are dealing with and everyone that they work with, from customers to vendors to other people who work within the same company. Not every salesperson needs CRM because some companies are very tiny and keeping track of others is not difficult. Most companies want to grow and expand, though, and CRM is a good way to help them do that.

OpenERP aims to impress US market

"When Beija-Flor Jeans started outgrowing its Intuit QuickBooks software last year, the company started looking around for something more robust to help mange its growing accounting, CRM and inventory management needs.

But rather than spend big bucks on a commercial enterprise resource planning suite, the company decided to try open source technology from OpenERP, a relatively little known vendor based in Belgium.
