Global Training System goes live

The global manufacturing and services company had a typical but complex operational challenge with regards to managing training for their employees in the UK division, located across two sites in the UK. Read the full case study here

They were in the market seeking suitable solutions and contacted Junari as they had provided a previous systems solution. Junari were able to address their need using OpenERP as a basis to satisfy the exact needs of the department.

The key objectives were identified as: -

  • Centralising training records for UK staff
  • Ability to identify the best and most cost-effective training courses
  • Reducing manpower costs
  • Managing probation periods
  • Managing training budgets

The UK Office Manager explained why they chose Junari to develop their solution:

Several ‘off the shelf options’ were considered <…> but nothing we could find offered the capabilities and flexibilities we needed, and in addition were not cost effective. She also explained how things have been since the go-live….

We have since met all of our business objectives. In addition to this, we have also found the speed and ease of making additions to the system unexpectedly very useful and we are sure that we will take full advantage of this going forward into the next year and the next audit! We originally did not intend to store our process documentation within the system, but found this system handled it extremely well and gave us significant additional benefits

The system is bedding in since the go-live in November 2012 and is continuing to deliver the hoped for benefits.
