Junari wins UK business system delivery for a Global company
Following an external audit and internal objectives, the company were looking at way to consolidate, streamline and improve the way they manage staff training records for the UK team.
The current database that was in use was shared with other international departments and did not suit the distinct needs of the business unit. It also attracted licences that did not support the way that the business unit wished to operate.
The head of the business unit explained:
Centralised management of the current system can introduce delays in the process, therefore a method of managing courses, users and other data by key users within the team is required.
As is often the case with readily available solutions, our needs cannot be wholly fulfilled by low-cost, low-flexibility ‘off the shelf’ solutions, and the cost of a bespoke solution or one-size-fits-all system is prohibitive and also entails paying for functionality that is not likely to be used.
OpenERP will be used to provide the basis of the system, and the HR module will be fully customised to provide what the customer needs at an acceptable cost.
Requirements capture has begun and the system is expected to go live towards the end of August.
